The Meaning of Blue Roses

Mariposa was a song that I played for Dodi in the womb.  Because of her fluttering about and the beauty of the cords and progression of the acoustic guitar. Damon and I used to listen to it and play it for our child in my womb.

     This evening the cicadas are out for their final mating season of the summer.  The loud screeching hum brought my cat, Ebenezer Rouge scurrying up to his window bed to see what was causing the commotion.  He paused and glanced out the window.  Slowly the humming stopped and he lost interest.      The incident suddenly brought me the notion that these emerging cicadas were actually tucked into the Earth waiting to emerge seventeen years ago.  That would have made it 2008.  What was I doing in 2008?  In 2008 my daughter was only a year and a half old.        I was immediately brought back to the summer months of 2008.  So vividly I recall sitting on the front porch in summer evenings with my husband and daughters.  We would grill hamburgers and play music.  Our family was complete and happy.      Sometimes my oldest was out with friends or a sleepover.  Usually it w...

     I watched the large drops of rain fall with the light shining just so that it created the illusion of diamonds falling from the sky.  I slowly stretched my hand out into the opaqueness and felt the cool pellets of water land across my skin.  It was a moment of a beautiful thing.  My longing for my daughters and him were still heavy on my mind.        It occurred to me that I used to tell my girls that the same rain, and same water that is on Earth has been here since the beginning.  All the liquid tears, sweat, blood, and water that makes up our very physical existence, is part of the same water.  Even the amniotic fluid and which we were encased from birth.  It is a miracle actually, the cleansing process, the very act of condensation and evaporation and then expelling again into another form.       It's actually quite remarkable.  There's something primitive about touching the wetness a...

We had a Dell desktop at the time.  Damon and I.  I had been doing genealogy on it.  The hard drive crashed and we took it to someone at work whose son worked for Best buy geek squad to order a hard drive and install it again.   When we got it back I think most everything was on there and we had some trouble with the Microsoft Windows.  The next thing I know it had all these fake Norton and fake McAfee and it seems like it was a fake AT&t number saying pay us this much and we'll fix it but it only got worse they were hacking us.  Somebody went through all of the genealogy and a bunch of old things all the way back to slave records and death records and military records from the genealogy.  I wanted to do a great big one for both of the girls.  I had all of Callie's from Papa Bob in the attic of the house and the book of Bullock genealogy that Damon had borrowed from his Dad.  Then they started attacking us from everything from paint ...

.  I tried to explain what happened.  There is a software for tracking patients who may wander, a software for people who cannot speak, hear, or see.  It's really amazing software and works much the same as an EEG in measuring brain waves but it actually translates the brain waves to a computer.  So there may be a picture of flowers and the person may be blind but in their minds eye they are going to see flowers.  Or there may be a conversation, but the individual is deaf, so it will do a translation either to read or neural transactions for the host.  Then a voice will run off of Roblox for the mute.  Now if someone were unable to do all that, say quadriplegic, then literally a computer module would read brainwaves for emotions, thoughts.  Wicked software.  Now if somebody hacked one of these or accessed them for manipulative reasons, it could be used for extortion, provoking emotions, or memories, or extraction of thoughts and data mining....
